Happy Sunday and welcome to my Weekly Wrap Up post! I link these posts up with The Sunday Post, hosted by Kimberly over at Caffeinated Reviewer; The Sunday Salon, hosted by Deb at ReaderBuzz; It’s Monday! What Are you Reading? hosted by Kathryn of Book Date and a children’s/middle grade version hosted by Jen Vincent, Teach Mentor Texts, and Kellee of Unleashing Readers; Mailbox Monday, hosted by Serena of Savvy Verse & Wit and Martha of Reviews by Martha’s Bookshelf; and Stacking the Shelves, hosted by Marlene at Reading Reality.  For my Weekly Wrap Ups, I’ll recap what I posted, read, and watched this week, plus I’ll let you know about any current giveaways I have up. I’ll also tell you about recent updates on my TBR and new books I received and/or bought. Okay, time to see what happened this week!

Hi! It’s been a couple of weeks since I’ve done one of these, oops. Here’s what happened this week…

On the Blog

Here are the links for everything that was published this week on Kait Plus Books:

Off the Blog

  • My stomach bug is completely gone, yay!
  • It’s period time, which sucks!
  • I started new medicine and it’s giving me migraines, which also sucks!
  • Luckily I’m actually ahead on my posts for once so I don’t need to be on my computer much.

Currently Reading: I’m reading Vespertine by Margaret Rogerson for an upcoming blog tour. I’m really enjoying it!

Currently Listening To: I’m listening to the Heist Society trilogy by Ally Carter on scribd. I’ve read the first two books before, but I’ve never finished book three. I’m excited to see how it ends!

Just Finished Reading: I read Where the Drowned Girls Go by Seanan McGuire last week and LOVED it! I think it’s one of my favorite Wayward Children books.

Just Finished Listening to: My last audiobook was Heist Society, and now I’m listening to Uncommon Criminals, both by Ally Carter!

Books: Next up for books is Your Life Has Been Delayed by Michelle I. Mason. I’ve been looking forward to it for a while and it publishes on Tuesday!

Audiobooks: First, Perfect Scoundrels so I can finally find out what happens with Kat and Hale, and then Battle of the Bands which I requested and downloaded from NetGalley a few days ago!

No new book mail for me this week, sad face. But I added a TON of books to my #tbr(there will be another New to the Queue post coming soon)! Here’s some of what I’m looking forward to reading (someday):

When a high stakes boarding school prank war leads to a fake dating scheme, two teens must decide if they are ready to take the ultimate risk — falling in love.
Pranking mastermind Doe and her motley band of Weston girls are determined to win the century-long war against Winfield Academy before the clock ticks down on their senior year. But when their headmistress announces that The Weston School will merge with its rival the following year, their longtime feud spirals into chaos.
To protect the school that has been her safe haven since her parents’ divorce, Doe puts together a plan to prove once and for all that Winfield boys and Weston girls just don’t mix, starting with a direct hit at Three, Winfield’s boy king and her nemesis. In a desperate move to win, Doe strikes a bargain with Three’s cousin, Wells: If he fake dates her to get under Three’s skin, she’ll help him get back his rightful family heirloom from Three.
As the pranks escalate, so do her feelings for her fake boyfriend, and Doe spins lie after lie to keep up her end of the deal. But when a teacher long suspected of inappropriate behavior messes with a younger Weston girl, Doe has to decide what’s more important: winning a rivalry, or joining forces to protect something far more critical than a prank war legacy.

A new Slayer for a new generation...

Her mom, Willow, is slowly teaching her magic on the condition that she use it to better the world. But Frankie’s happily quiet life is upended when new girl Hailey shows up with news that the annual Slayer convention has been the target of an attack, and all the Slayers—including Buffy, Faith, and Hailey’s older sister Vi—might be dead. That means it’s time for this generation’s Slayer to be born.
But being the first ever Slayer-Witch means learning how to wield a stake while trying to control her budding powers. With the help of Hailey, a werewolf named Jake, and a hot but nerdy sage demon, Frankie must become the Slayer, prevent the Hellmouth from opening again, and find out what happened to her Aunt Buffy, before she’s next.

Claire Kovalik is days away from being unemployed—made obsolete—when her beacon repair crew picks up a strange distress signal. With nothing to lose and no desire to return to Earth, Claire and her team decide to investigate.
What they find at the other end of the signal is a shock: the Aurora, a famous luxury space-liner that vanished on its maiden tour of the solar system more than twenty years ago. A salvage claim like this could set Claire and her crew up for life. But a quick trip through the Aurora reveals something isn’t right.
Whispers in the dark. Flickers of movement. Words scrawled in blood. Claire must fight to hold onto her sanity and find out what really happened on the Aurora, before she and her crew meet the same ghastly fate.

I’m back on #bookstagram! Here’s what I posted this week:

still watching Ted Lasso, still loving it. I’ve also been watching Marvel’s What if? and that’s pretty good. I will, at some point, actually sit down and watch more than five or ten minutes of Shadow and Bone so I can see if I actually like it or not. and… that’s about it!

The giveaways widget is always the most current and accurate way to tell what giveaways you can find on my blog, but since you’re here…

So that’s everything! What have you been up to this week? Anything important happen? Did you have any posts that didn’t get a lot of attention this week? I’d love to check them out! Leave your links in the comments below and don’t forget to have a splendiferous week!

  2. I’m so sorry you’re still not feeling good in different ways! I hope you feel better soon. I hope you enjoy Your Life Has Been Delayed—Michelle I. Mason blogs about books quite often for a blogging group I’m in, MMGM, so I’m very excited for her! And the other books you’re looking forward to sound great! Also, your blog redesign looks great—it’s so creative that you redesign it so often, and it always looks awesome. Thanks so much for the great post!

  3. I’m so glad to hear that your stomach bug is gone. I can take almost any sort of thing other than being sick at my stomach.

Your blog looks fabulous! I love to revamp mine every now and then. A fresh look.

Love the books you are reading!
