Happy Friday! Today I am participating in First Line Friday, hosted by Hoarding Books, AND First Lines Friday, hosted by Wandering Words!

First Lines Fridays is a weekly feature for book lovers hosted by Wandering Words. What if instead of judging a book by its cover, its author or its prestige, we judged it by its opening lines?

A HAIRY SITUATION
After a garou hunt goes south and Jane finds a suspicious-like bite on her arm, she turns tail for Deadwood, where there’s been talk of a garou cure. But things ain’t always what they seem—meaning the gang better hightail it after her before they’re a day late and a Jane short.

Yes, technically this is the dedication because the actual first line is “Listen up y’all, we’re going to tell you the story of Calamity Jane.” which… very clearly gives away what the book is! So I used the dedication because this is what I’ve been reading this week and I really love it. The Lady Janies books are hilarious, and filled with anachronistic jokes and quotes and just wonderful writing. If you haven’t read them yet, I highly recommend getting a copy asap and reading them for a fun, lighthearted adventure!
