Mia's best friend Robyn is known for her matchmaking skills, which is perfect, because homecoming is just around the corner. She uses Robyn's matchmaking service to make sure popular Vince Demetrius falls for her.
Vince asks her out, but Mia doesn't count on Logan, the persistent school newspaper photographer who seems to like her out of the blue. The Good, The Bad, and The GIF
The Good: If you’re looking for something comforting and sweet, with just enough angst to stop the sugar cavity, then this is the book for you! If you’ve ever wondered whether you should start a matchmaking business, or maybe even go to one, this is the book for you! The teens actually act like teens, everything turns out okay in the end, and it’s just GREAT! I hope everyone really enjoys this once it comes out on JANUARY 8!!!
The Bad: It was missing something. I don’t know what it was missing, but it was missing something. I remember reading that the first couple drafts had Robyn’s matchmaking a result of magic, and I think that would have worked better than just having it be a contemporary. Also, and this is totally a me thing, I wish we had more scenes with Logan before “He likes you, no he doesn’t, yes he does”, etc. More of a slow burn, like with David in Rebel Belle.

This cover is perfection. I remember voting for it on Swoon Reads back in March, and I was super happy the one I voted for won! Also, looking at the blog post for it just now made me notice the treehouse for the first time, and now I love it even more. The only way I could love this cover more is if it were a GIF…. oh wait.
