Camryn has been dating Marc FOREVER—since freshman year! She dropped out of volleyball to go to all his games, switched her schedule around to be in his favorite class, and has been busting her butt to get into Columbia so they can go to the same college. So when Marc suddenly, and very publically, breaks up with her a week into their senior year so that he can date the new transfer student, she’s absolutely devastated.
But why be sad, when you can get even? Inspired by her favorite movies, Camryn decides that the best revenge is a Senior Year well lived, starring a boy who is ever so much better than her ex. With a little help from her friends, Cam is going to have the Best. Senior. Year. Ever.
Or else!

Do you have a favorite scene, quote, or moment from Finding Mr. Better-Than-You?

Finding Mr. Better-Than-You is a book about friendship and finding yourself. So the ending is something I really love, but because I don’t give away any spoilers, I’m going to share another moment that I adore.

In the book, Cam has her heart broken. Her boyfriend dumps her at the start of their senior year, and she is crushed. Her little sister Gemma doesn’t realize this at first. She’s annoyed with Cam and being over dramatic, but when she finds out the truth, we see a different side to her. The scene where Gemma comforts Cam has made me tear up on several read-throughs.

I love that despite the bickering and sibling rivalry, the two are there for each other when it matters. They have each other’s backs, love each other, and support one another.

Writing Gemma was a lot of fun, and their relationship has a lot of heart, even though they definitely know how to get on each other’s nerves.

Another Gemma moment I love is when she confronts Cam’s ex’s new girlfriend. She’s totally standing up for her sister and trying to protect her, but it’s the last thing Cam wants to happen! It’s a moment that makes me laugh when I read it.

So while at its heart this is a friendship book, the sister-love is definitely a highlight as well. It’s a fun read for Galentine’s Day or when you need a pick me up or want to get lost in some sisterly (and friends that are like sisters) love.
