Happy Tuesday!

Top Ten Tuesday is a Bookish Meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl, and this week’s theme is BOOKISH PET PEEVES! (spoiler alert: that’s not what I did!)

Happy Tuesday! I was having a hard time coming up with bookish pet peeves (although I’m sure as soon as I start looking at what other people wrote, I’ll come up with ten thousand), but I still wanted to change up the format for this week’s post. Tonight I was just casually thinking about books being made into other forms of media (okay, fine, I was searching for news about the Percy Jackson show), and somehow or other that led to me creating today’s list! I decided to make today’s post a list of movies and tv shows that I love, based on books that I’ve never read!

And now without any further ado, here’s this week’s Top Ten Tuesday!

To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before

The Princess Diaries

Shadowhunters

The Queen’s Gambit

The Magicians

Friday Night Lights

Tiny Pretty Things

Big Sky

Good Omens

The 100

Are there any shows or movies that you love based on books that you’ve never read? Let me know in the comments below and have a splendiferous week!

  1. I’ve read The Magicians but I loved the series so much more than the book! I didn’t know some of these were books, too (like Friday Night Lights and Queen’s Gambit)! Great post 🙂

I really enjoyed the Good Omens show (and later read the book, and found I didn’t enjoy it as much!). I also enjoyed The Queen’s Gambit, The Magicians and The Princess Diaries, and only read The Princess Diaries out of the three (the film is much better!). Tiny Pretty Things I wasn’t a massive fan of, the dancing was very good, but I found the plot confusing, and there were way too many sex scenes.
