I\u2019ve always wanted to write the story where the big bad is not a person per se, but a whole world that\u2019s trying to kill you in any way it can, because you\u2019re the parasite that\u2019s destroying it. (In a lot of ways, I think this is exactly our own situation with our current world. It\u2019s just that, like a lot of the characters in THE NEVER TILTING WORLD, we refuse to admit that we could be the problem.)<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong> Do you have a favorite scene, quote, or moment from <em>The Never Tilting World<\/em>?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-4373\" src=\"https:\/\/www.kaitgoodwin.com\/books\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/never-tilting-world-quote-001-1024x200.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.kaitgoodwin.com\/books\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/never-tilting-world-quote-001.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.kaitgoodwin.com\/books\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/never-tilting-world-quote-001-300x59.png 300w, https:\/\/www.kaitgoodwin.com\/books\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/never-tilting-world-quote-001-768x150.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/>One of my favorite quotes is actually the epigraph at the start of the book: \u201cA demoness is what men call a goddess they cannot control.\u201d It sets the tone not only for THE NEVER TILTING WORLD, but also for the next book in the duology! There\u2019s also a major scene in the book that I had a lot of fun reading, but can\u2019t really say much about because it\u2019s a major spoiler. All I can say is it involves a lot of scorpions and Arjun screaming. Another scene I liked writing about also involves Arjun screaming again, but this time with fifty foot deathworms. You can probably see the pattern at this point.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>If Arjun, Lan, Haidee, and Odessa were to hang out with characters from other YA books, who would they be and why?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If they were my other books? Arjun would 100% be best friends with Tark Holloway from <em>The Girl from the Well<\/em>. They have the same kind of personality that just incites trouble (and I should know, because I too share the same kind of personality).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I think Lan would get along very well with Inej from <em>Six of Crows<\/em> for some reason. They share some trauma and the need to be strong despite them, and they can probably relate to each other on a more personal level in this manner, and understand each other in ways others might not.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Haidee and Odessa would fight alongside Jude Duarte from the <em>Cruel Prince<\/em> series! They\u2019d respect Jude\u2019s desire to excel in a world that rejects and wants to beat her down, because that\u2019s the same situation they\u2019re in and can relate. Plus the twins are very concerned about justice and fairness, and they would absolutely rally behind Jude and tell off that bitch, Cardan, a hundred different ways.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>What would you do if you spent the day with <\/strong><strong>Arjun, Lan, Haidee, and Odessa<\/strong><strong>?
