This book is so brutally honest and emotional and real. Much like the best parts of Buffy the Vampire Slayer were the raw emotions (<em>I can still hear Anya saying, &#8220;and I was having fruit punch, and I thought, well, [she] will never have any more fruit punch ever, and she&#8217;ll never have eggs, or yawn or brush her hair, not ever, and no one will explain to me why.&#8221; as I think about it<\/em>), the best part of <em>Slayer<\/em> is that Kiersten White lets Nina&#8217;s emotions shine through and lead the way.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>My Least Favorite Part<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><del>there was nothing I could even think of for a least favorite part<\/del><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Summing it Up with a GIF<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2476\" src=\"https:\/\/www.kaitgoodwin.com\/books\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/buffy-gif.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"321\" height=\"200\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>(I mean, were you really expecting anything else?)<\/em><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Judging a Book by it&#8217;s Cover<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>This cover is perfect because look at it!!! There&#8217;s a stake! And darkness! And light! And lots of purple! And it says Kiersten White on it, which means it&#8217;s going to be amazing!<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>If You Liked&#8230;<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Buffy the Vampire Slayer<\/strong>, because&#8230; you know&#8230; Buffy (sorry, couldn&#8217;t resist)&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>THE CRUEL PRINCE<\/em><\/strong>, with its complicated twin sister relationships and sometimes dark aesthetic&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>PERCY JACKSON<\/em><\/strong>, for the reluctant chosen one trope and the witty humor&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>LEAH ON THE OFFBEAT<\/strong><\/em> and <strong><em>SIMON VS.
