What if instead of judging a book by its cover, its author or its prestige, we judged it by its opening lines?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Pick a book off your shelf (it could be your current read or on your TBR) and open to the first page<\/li><li>Copy the first few lines, but don\u2019t give anything else about the book away just yet \u2013 you need to hook the reader first<\/li><li>Finally\u2026 reveal the book!<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.kaitgoodwin.com\/books\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/V3-Fall-2021-divider.png\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote has-text-align-center is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><strong><em>&#8220;There\u2019s no such thing as witches, but there used to be.&#8221;<\/em><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Anyone have any guesses on what book this is?
