I think what this week&#8217;s theme is <em>actually<\/em> asking for is for the books that inspired readalikes, but I&#8217;m not entirely sure. It was really confusing to me, so I flipped it around until it made more sense, and what I ended up with is &#8216;<strong>If You Liked This, Try That<\/strong>&#8216;.<\/p>\n<p>Personally, I love reading and writing posts like this. <a href=\"https:\/\/bookslibrariesalsocats.com\/tag\/readalikes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ari<\/a> does a great job with them, and it reminds me of readers advisory, aka one of my favorite parts of my job! I try and include something like this in all of my <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kaitgoodwin.com\/books\/category\/reviews\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">book reviews<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kaitgoodwin.com\/books\/tag\/cant-wait-wednesday\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Can&#8217;t Wait Wednesday<\/a> posts. Depending on when they were written, you can find them under <strong>&#8220;This Reminds Me Of&#8221;, &#8220;For Fans Of&#8221;, &#8220;Readalikes&#8221;, and\/or &#8220;A Recipe For&#8221;.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For today&#8217;s post, what I ended up doing was choosing six books that I&#8217;ve read and loved, and giving a readalike for each of them! <strong>Every two books are readalikes, not the whole list!<\/strong> And even though I totally started this thinking that I would pair Hank Green&#8217;s <em>An Absolutely Unremarkable Thing<\/em> with Sylvain Neuvel&#8217;s <em>The Themis Files<\/em>, somehow neither of those books ended up on my list?
