Everything. The characters, the found (and re-found) family, THE LOVE TRIANGLE (and no, I don&#8217;t think I&#8217;ve ever said that before), just everything was PERFECT. I especially loved how seamlessly the ~diversity~ was written. Much like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kaitgoodwin.com\/books\/review-of-anger-is-a-gift-by-mark-oshiro\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Anger is a Gift<\/em><\/a>, it didn&#8217;t feel out of place or stilted, it just flowed. Because that&#8217;s how the real world is. Also, the cover. HOT DAMN. I think this may be one of my favorite books of 2018. And I&#8217;m SO EXCITED that everyone gets to read it now!!!<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>T<\/strong><strong>he Bad: <\/strong>This is not really a bad thing about the book so much as a not so great thing about me reading this book, but I wish I had read it faster. I think it would be much more enjoyable as a one or two sitting book instead of a stretched out over almost a month book. I love my <strong>Slytherin Primary, Gryffindor Secondary<\/strong> mess of a main character.<\/p>\r\n<p>Fiercely loyal and ambitious, Nax&#8217;s Slytherin Primary is most obvious in his love of flying, despite the consequences, <span class=\"ubb-spoiler\"><a class=\"ubb-view-spoil\">View Spoiler &raquo;<\/a><span style=\"display: none;\" class=\"ubb-thespoil\">which really: Who <em>sneaks into school<\/em> on the weekends? <a class=\"ubb-hide-spoil\" style=\"cursor: hand; cursor: pointer;\">&laquo; Hide Spoiler<\/a><\/span><\/span>. His Gryffindor Secondary is what I would sort him as if I was only using one house, because his reckless bravery is his most defining characteristic. From the beginning where we didn&#8217;t <em>really<\/em> know why they weren&#8217;t close, all the way through to their make up, it was just amazing.  <a class=\"ubb-hide-spoil\" style=\"cursor: hand; cursor: pointer;\">&laquo; Hide Spoiler<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n<p>Also, to elaborate on the <strong>LOVE TRIANGLE<\/strong>, <span class=\"ubb-spoiler\"><a class=\"ubb-view-spoil\">View Spoiler &raquo;<\/a><span style=\"display: none;\" class=\"ubb-thespoil\"> oh man I don&#8217;t ever think I&#8217;ve loved a romantic subplot more than this one. There was no (real) angst, just &#8220;do I like this person? oh man I like that person too. and thEY BOTH LIKE ME.&#8221; Poor Nax. I definitely was rooting for some polyamory toward the end,  <a class=\"ubb-hide-spoil\" style=\"cursor: hand; cursor: pointer;\">&laquo; Hide Spoiler<\/a><\/span><\/span> but that&#8217;s what fanfic is for, I guess.<\/p>\r\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Let&#8217;s Discuss<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n<p>Who would you want to be stuck in space with if you were branded as a criminal and running for your life? Personally, I would prefer a group of strangers so that (at least at first) I could worry more about everyone&#8217;s survival than whomever I knew that was with me.
